In a nutshell, I am a down to earth guy from Yorkshire. I grew up in a typical working class background and started a career the “normal” way as an Apprentice, “Heavy Goods Vehicle fitter”, up to my elbows in grease and oil every day. I spent 19 years as a fitter, and a short spell as a truck driver, working in general haulage, the chemical industry and chilled food distribution. Nothing odd or special about this, I was simply trying to carve my own path out in the world. Just like you.

But I had an itch or a knowing even! that there had to be more to life, I was fed up of the daily grind and the social hypnosis that seemed to be all around. Go to work….go home….watch TV….then do it all again. THERE HAD TO BE MORE TO LIFE!

My passion is to learn, explore new ideas and gain understanding about life and success. And It was this that led me on a mission of learning new ways to take control of my life. But even at this stage my belief was still that in order to be successful you had to climb the corporate ladder. Just like you, I was searching for ways to take control of my life and increase my income.

And then something clicked. My career up to this date led me to be a decisive action taker and problem solver and I realised I needed to just get on with it. Nobody was giving me permission to change my life. I had to do this for myself.

So in 1990 I began an incredible journey in network marketing and self-development. I believe that our maker gave us a neck so that we can stick it out now and again! So I did just that. No more talk, I was going to get more out of my life. After all, in my book, life is a journey to be enjoyed not endured.

Ten years later, I was still in employment but my network marketing career had taken off. On August 6th 2000, I asked for a day’s holiday, and my boss refused. Refuse he might have, but I took it anyway and in fact never went back. And I am proud to say I have never gone back to being an employee from that date on.

I firmly believe there is more to life than money but the success I achieved was beyond my wildest dreams, when in just 18 months I developed sales volume and income with a network marketing company that manufactured its own nutritional products that was big enough to allow me not to take no for an answer when I asked for that days holiday I mentioned previously.

It has been a long, very interesting and enjoyable journey and guess what? I’m still on it. Seeking and learning new information and technologies, increasing my value and ability to guide and support others to do the same. This information has led me to the actual and wonderful feeling of freedom I enjoy today. The key to my success above has always been in self-development and working on my beliefs. I took this a stage further and proved this to myself when I started visualising my dream car. I even carried an image around of this car. I talked to everyone I met about my goal to own it, as I carefully took the picture out of my wallet.

The first time I ever saw this model of car, I was been overtaken by one while I was driving a truck and remember myself standing up in the cab and straining to see what it was as it sped off into the distance. Later that week I did find out what it was and 12 months later, I drove A Lotus Elise out of the showroom as a proud owner.

Let me assure you, there were a procession of people who told me I would never get that car and if I had listened to them they would have been right. But, I refuse to accept the status quo and I’m keen to inspire anyone I meet to believe in themselves and also believe there is more to life, because there is!!! If you want someone to show you the way, who will give you straight forward, honest feedback, maybe it is time to talk. I know from first-hand experience that network marketing can be a rollercoaster and I’m committed to helping my partners ride the rough with the smooth.

So that’s it. A bit about me, my career, my escape into finding that there is more to life. It’s a wonderful life on this side. Are you ready to jump over?
